PENNDEL SWIM LEAGUE
BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING MINUTES
October 12, 2020

Attendance:  Kelly Burk, Ken Burk, Elliot Berton, Bruce Cooper, Mark Fisher, Howard Halpern, Erik Nelson, Fred Polaski, Pat Ryan, Carl Sandoe, Tom Warrick, Jenn Woods, (All participation By Zoom conference)

The meeting was called to order at 6:34 pm.

Minutes:  The September 14, 2020 Board of Directors Meeting Minutes were approved following 2 small edits.

Finance:  There were no expenses from the previous financial report.  The Board approved a purchase of 5 Zoom Licenses for League Clinic Trainers.

Virtual Invitationals: Some adjustments were made to the Virtual Invitational Meet documents and then uploaded to the PennDel League website.  Ken requested to be alerted when a team is using a Meter Pool for their times, so that a conversion can be made prior to publishing results.  The events and dates are listed on the League website as well as in the documentation.

Official�s Training:  The League Clinics are ongoing for both Meet Manager and Referee sessions.  Ken is going to schedule AO Clinics shortly and will have multiple dates for attendees to select from.  To date there were approximately 70 individuals who participated in the Meet Manager sessions and approximately 38 in the referee clinics.  The sessions were very interactive, and some good questions were asked and answered.  The trainers reinforced procedures on how to properly combine events as well as some creative suggestions on ways to reduce paperwork.

Pandemic Update:

Information from National or Members Regarding Operations: Several Board members reported on the information available to members regarding implementing video broadcasting at virtual meets.  Some reports were that in Pennsylvania High School swimming may not have meets until after 1/1/2021.  A significant issue to be resolved is teams who may not have access to their own facilities.  Several of the YMCA's are not allowing non-members into their facilities, which would impact the ability to host meets a Y's.

Fall Meeting Minutes: The Board reviewed the 2020 Fall League Meeting minutes and had a couple of suggestions on edits.  Those edits will be completed and then sent to Board members for final review and a vote at the next meeting.
